Breaking the barriers

to quality & authentic

Aboriginal education

Created by Aboriginal teachers,

for everyone

Founders Kane (Darug) & Josh (Worimi)

Originating from teaching backgrounds ourselves, we’ve witnessed first-hand a growing struggle for early years centres, schools and learning institutions to deliver authentic Aboriginal Education for their students, staff and wider community members.

At Deadly Ed, our mission is to ensure anyone, in any location, can get access to quality and authentic Aboriginal Education.

Over the last 3 years operating Deadly Ed, we’ve found a significant amount of communities across Australia that do not have access to sufficient funding and support for quality Aboriginal education programs, professional learning and resources.

In turn, this results in thousands of students and teachers not achieving mandatory learning & development outcomes relating to Aboriginal education each year.

The Deadly Ed Foundation was born as a way to expand upon the Deadly Ed mission; by providing authentic, quality & free Aboriginal education to those in Low SES, rural and remote regions of Australia.

How we help

  • Our in-person immersion workshops and online learning sessions enable all students from Early Years through to High School to connect with our deadly Aboriginal educators.

  • By removing the barriers of cost and access, our goal is to ensure every classroom and early years centre in Australia has engaging, authentic & curriculum-linked cultural learning resources for all students.

  • Teacher confidence and capability to deliver Aboriginal perspectives plays a significant part in all students learning. Our teacher program ensures every teacher gains the confidence, skills and essential resources for tomorrow's lessons in Aboriginal Education

  • We aim to eliminate the barriers of costs and education for creating an outdoor learning resource of a native garden. By connecting kids and adults to country, we enable lifelong learning about Aboriginal land management, sustainability and the benefits of native plants
